Tvshka,the first feature-length film project from Jeffrey Gibson, is an intimate and joyful portrait of the artist and his interdisciplinary practice. The documentary, which takes its name from the Choctaw word for “warrior,” traces a remarkable two-and-a-half-year period in the artist's career, including his 2024 solo presentation for the U.S. Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and 2025 Genesis facade commission for The Metropolitan Museum of Art. These milestones are captured alongside quiet moments of family life, revealing the interconnected personal and creative forces that shape Gibson's artmaking.

The non-linear narrative unfolds according to the wide-ranging logic and temporal shifts of a long conversation that Gibson shared with director Chelsea Knight during a drive through Mississippi, where the artist has family, in 2024.
